2nd Annual Singer/Songwriter Competition- July 11th, 2009
Hosted by the Coffee Club and Frank Bisciotti On Saturday, July 11th 2009, Frank Bisciotti in conjunction with the Coffee Club will be hosting the first round of the second annual Singer/Songwriter Competition. This competition is open to any musicians who write their own original music. The format will be acoustic based; this means no drum sets, no amplifiers, and no effect pedals (loops, digital effects, ect). An in house PA system will be provided with microphones and direct inputs in order to supply the sound for the evening. How it works:

) to be entered into the competition. This e-mail should include the name of their act, member(s) first and last names, the name of the original song they will be performing, a telephone number to contact them, a website link (if applicable), and a lyric sheet of that specific song. All emails must be received by the July 10th, 2009 deadline at midnight. A small meeting will be held at the Coffee Club before the contest to discuss the final details and to answer any last minute questions or concerns. The amount of entries and contestants will be capped at thirty (30). Judging: Judging will take place by a panel of judges (t.b.a.) as well as audience participation. On May 10th, each audience member will receive a ticket at time of entry. Musicians will go in random order (pulled from a hat one by one). Audience members will vote for their favorite musician by putting the order number of their musician on the back of their ticket. Judges will tally up the audience votes of the first round and be responsible for choosing five semi-finalists. The second round with the five semi-finalists will determine a finalist and a runner up. Prizes: First round:
All five winners from the first round will be given two tickets to the Warped Tour courtesy of AT&T.
Final Round:
Grand prize- $250 CASH and a chance to headline their own paying Saturday show at the Coffee Club.
